Genshin Impact tier list: Top 3 S-Tier Characters

We spent some time with the Genshin Impact characters individually. We put them into different groups to assess which character is better at other things to develop this Genshin Impact tier list of S-Tier characters. There are also rumors of new characters on the way. We plan to update this list as soon as they’re available, so you should bookmark this guide and keep checking back to stay on top of the latest changes.

Ganyu

Cryo is a fun element, and the Cryo archer relies on freezing enemies to maximize the amount of time they’re grounded. They focus on creating high burst damage with their charged Frostflake arrows. One of the great strengths of that class is the AoE explosions that it triggers. Ganyu & Shenhe provide plenty of firepower as a pair, making them a great duo.

Ayaka

Hu Tao

Hu Tao’s polearm skills are destructive. Her Elemental skill deals with massive fire damage, while her passive Spirit Soother heals when it hits. She can also shield herself and her nearby allies with the explosion inflicted by her Pyro skill.

Bennett

Bennett is a fantastic four-star support character, a happy-go-lucky adventurer who always seems to have his luck on his side. With mighty Elemental Burst heals, and after he unlocks Constellation 6, he can also do some damage when concentrated. Pyro DPS characters like Diluc and Klee are some of the best partners for Medics due to the 25% attack boost from Elemental Resonance.

Xingqiu

This bookish-looking four-star swordsman gives the impression of being a character who focuses on attacking and healing himself. His Elemental Burst attack is repeated by the rain swords that follow it with Hydro damage. He pairs well with Pyro or Electro damage dealers, allowing for plenty of situations where your enemies can be dealt with using Vaporize and Electro-Charged reactions.

Jean

The Dandelion Knight is a strong character because she has so many different abilities to cater to different play styles. Her healing, based on her attack stat, is the first example. Her essential skill allows her to draw enemies in, fire them off a ledge, and give her a vast energy recharge.

Kazuha

If you like animals, you’re going to love Kazuha. He also has a much fun playstyle thanks to Swirl and the power of his spiraling attack Midare Ranzan.

Eula

Eula is a character from the MMORPG Genshin specializing in dealing the most damage with physical blows while also offering other benefits such as solid defense. Eula has an ability that is more suited for one-shot damage. Icy Touch deals with AoE elemental damage and spawns three sucking spots called “Grim Hearts,” which deal more damage closer to the target. These “Grim Hearts” accumulate to form a large explosion that touts high power, good tracking, and reduced accuracy.

Zhongli

As the Geo Archon, Zhongli is undeniably doing well in the game. His fortifying arrays of shields are some of the best in the league, and he gets increased damage based on his max HP. Stone Steles make an excellent pairing with other Geo constructs. These examples are Jade Screen, Solar Isotoma, and Ushi Bull.
