Motorola is now the company that updates a lot of its devices. Only a few Moto devices have ever seen a major Android model, while others are gone. The device was launched 2 years ago with Lollipop as the default operating system. It was soon updated to Marshmallow shortly after its December 2015 launch. It is fortunate enough to have security patches available until December 2016.
Numerous users have already stated that they received an update notification for Android 7.0 Nougat in the US. Motorola has not made any official announcement. The company seems not to be ready until rollout begins worldwide.
Moto X Pure xt1575 Nougat Updating
For those in the United States, the update is available and waiting. It is possible to go to Settings > More about phone > System Updates to see if it has been installed on your device. Nougat 7.0 is the basis for this update. It also includes the September Security Patches. This update is addressing the BlueBorne vulnerabilities. It is addressing the BlueBorne exposures.
Hopefully, gokart2, an XDA member, has taken the OTA zip file and mirrored it on Google Drive. This is a blessing to those who still struggle to update in their region. Simply download the OTA zip file and manually install it on any Moto X Pure Edition smartphone using the stock recovery.

Commands to Install Moto X pure xt1575 Nougat OTA
Manually installing an OTA requires that your device be completely stock. This means you cannot have any custom recovery, ROM, or root installed on the mobile. If you do, please go back to stock Marshmallow. Then follow this article.
- We mentioned that your Moto X Pure Edition must be fully charged.
- Your mobile must have the most recent Marshmallow build.
- Make sure you have a backup of your phone.
Step 1 :
Download the OTA Package for the Moto X Pure Nougat by going to the Moto X Pure Nougat website.
Attach your mobile to the computer in MTP/File transfer mode. Next, Ctrl+C OTA zip to root (not in any folder) of internal storage.
Step 3 :
Next, disconnect your mobile phone and turn it off.
Step 4 :
Hold down the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously until the bootloader mode is visible.
Click on one of the volume keys several times until you see “Recovery”. Click on the Power key to enter recovery mode.
Step 6 :
The stock recovery cannot be accessed by the device. The display screen will show an Android bot with No Command. After you have seen this, hold down the Power button and then click the Volume Up button.
Your device is now in stock recovery.
Touch is not a method of moving stock recovery. To indicate an option, use the Volume keys and then choose/enter the Power button.
You will see the “apply to upgrade from mobile storage” and “apply up from SD card” buttons. Hit the Power key to select them.
Now you view the “Blur_Version.24.231.16.clark_retus.retus.en.US.zip” file. To start the update, simply hit the Power button.
Let the update run its course, and then wait for it to finish. After it finishes, select the “reboot system” option.
It’s done! MotoX Pure Nougat update is now installed on your phone. All its amazing features are now available to you. Split-screen multitasking is possible, as well as Doze, notification and alerts controls and data saver.
